The Clinical Neurosurgical Unit

7 West is the Clinical Neurosurgical unit of the Hamilton Health Science Corporation. Located at the General Site of Hamilton Health Sciences, this 28 bed tertiary care unit (including a 7 bed Level II Step Down unit) provides care to patients requiring neurosurgical expertise. Access to the only hospital helipad, conveniently located at the hospital, enables the Hamilton General to be the region’s sole provider of neuroscience care as well as the trauma center of Central  South/ West, Ontario.
In addition to serving the  HNHB and WW LHIN regions, 7 West provides high quality, specialized care to the neurosciences, acquired brain injury/trauma and neurosurgical patients along with the neurointerventional patient populations using a multi-disciplinary and collaborative team approach.
