Women have unique psychosocial issues:
Women are more likely to be diagnosed with HIV later in their disease
Women face adversity in securing stable housing, education, employment opportunities and steady income.
Women also experience challenges in accessing healthcare for their HIV for many different reasons that include: transportation, childcare or caregiving responsibilities; immigration status; partner violence; substance use; or mental health challenges.
