Revitalizing Health Care in Hamilton

Through our commitment to upgrading and expanding our hospital facilities, Hamilton Health Sciences is striving to offer residents of Hamilton and the region a healthier future.

To stay on the leading edge, and to equip our talented medical professionals with the right tools and environments, we are investing more than $650 million in the redevelopment of our hospitals. Thanks to more than $102 million raised through our successful Cornerstone of Care Campaign, and additional funding from the Government of Ontario, we will transform health care in this region.

Five project areas are the focus of our revitalization: cardiac care, cancer services, family health, rehabilitation, and research. When these projects are complete, our hospitals will have modern clinical environments, high-tech medical equipment and technology, and research facilities that better reflect the calibre of our internationally renowned research teams and health care providers, and better meet the needs of our patients.

Hamilton Health Sciences staff take great pride in providing the highest quality of care to thousands of patients each year. Through our redevelopment projects, we are building a stronger, healthier and more prosperous community. These enhancements will help us ensure that people in our community have access to the modern, effective health care they need and deserve.

We recognize that construction will present some inconvenience to staff, patients, visitors and the community. We will do our best to communicate changes and minimize disruptions, however, we appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this process.
