We know, however, that many people who work for and visit our hospital experience racism, discrimination, and oppression. This is unacceptable and regrettable. HHS is committed to changing these experiences at every level of the organization.
More information about EDI at HHS will be shared with patients, staff and physicians in the coming weeks and months as an organizational plan is developed. In the meantime, a report on an organizational assessment of HHS’ EDI performance today is available for you to review, along with a summary of the report’s key findings and recommended actions.
The report is the starting point for what will be an on-going journey to make HHS a better place for everyone.
