At Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS), we’re proud to be one of Canada’s top academic health science centres—driving innovation, improving outcomes, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of patients locally, regionally, and across the country.
Our current strategic plan has been a powerful guide through years of progress and transformation. But the world of health care is evolving—fast—and it’s time for us to chart a bold new course.
We’re building the future of HHS. This new strategic plan will ensure we’re agile, innovative, and equipped to meet the needs of our patients today—and tomorrow. Alongside this, we’re refreshing our vision, mission, and values to reflect who we are, where we’re going, and how we will get there—together.
This isn’t just our plan—it’s your plan. The process has been truly collaborative, shaped by tens of thousands of voices from across our region. From front-line staff and health partners to patients, families, and community members, your ideas and insights are helping to build a strategy that reflects the diversity, values, and ambitions of the communities we serve.
Here’s how we engaged with you:
- Inclusive in-person events were held in accessible locations, designed to welcome everyone. We recognized the value of your time with honorariums for participants joining outside regular hours.
- Wide-reaching digital engagement brought the conversation to thousands more, through multi-language surveys, paid outreach campaigns, and a virtual town hall that reached over 125,000 residents in Hamilton and West Niagara.
