Urgent Care Centres

If you think you or a loved one is experiencing a medical emergency, call 9-1-1 right away.

PLEASE NOTE: The West End Urgent Care Centre will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1

In Hamilton, there are two urgent care centres that are operated and open 365 days a year. You are encouraged to visit an urgent care centre if your condition cannot wait for a scheduled doctor’s appointment. Urgent care centres provide care for all ages: children and adults.

Urgent care centres are staffed by emergency department-trained doctors and nurses and can provide you with faster access to a doctor, rather than waiting in the ER (based on average wait times). Urgent care centres allow access to services such as X-rays, ultrasounds (for certain conditions), and laboratory services (located off-site).

No appointments are required. Walk-in patients are seen seven days a week between the hours listed below.  Learn more about your healthcare options at NeedADoc.ca.

Whenever possible your family doctor is your first point of access for care. A virtual urgent care appointment may be right for you if you or a loved one have a medical issue that is NOT life threatening, but requires urgent medical attention.
