SmartStart Hub

Welcome to the Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre!

Our Developmental Rehabilitation Program is proud to serve as the SmartStart Hub for Hamilton. SmartStart Hubs provide a welcoming entry point for children’s special needs services, helping to identify children’s strengths, goals, and needs early on. This ensures that families receive the right support as soon as possible.

Across the province, all families can access their local SmartStart Hub when they have concerns about their child’s development or daily activities. In Hamilton, we’re here to support you and your family in getting the help you need.

  • Do you have concerns about your child’s development?
  • Are you unsure what your child’s developmental support needs are?
  • Are you unsure what services to seek or how to access them?
  • Would you would benefit from an exploratory discussion about your child’s development, strengths, and support needs?

SmartStart Hubs can help.

SmartStart Hubs serve children and youth from birth until the age of 19, or up to age 21 if they are in school and living in Ontario. It provides seamless connections to local services including:
