Hamilton Health Sciences contributes significantly to Ontario’s economy

Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) is committed to delivering safe, quality patient care every day. At the same time, as one of the largest providers of this care in Ontario, HHS is also a major driver of economic momentum in Hamilton, the surrounding region and across the province.

An independent report has determined that outside of Hamilton, HHS has a total indirect and induced economic impact of approximately $421.85 million per year – a significant contribution to Ontario’s economy.

That is why ongoing investment in HHS’ healthcare infrastructure is needed. This kind of investment will have a direct and positive impact on our region now and for decades to come.
