McMaster Children’s Hospital wins Innovation and Impact Award

The Quality of Life and Advanced Care Planning Team (QoLA) at Hamilton Health Sciences’ McMaster Children’s Hospital (MCH) has been recognized with a Children’s Healthcare Canada Innovation & Impact Award for their work in family and patient-centred care.

This award recognizes teams or programs that have implemented innovative practices to enhance the human experience in healthcare.

MCH patient William and his mom Elizabeth Chambers accepted the award on behalf of the hospital team: “The QoLa team has been a lifeline for us. Their unwavering support has been a constant reassurance that we are not alone. They have worked hard to ensure we feel heard, respected and supported throughout William’s care journey.”
