New West Lincoln Memorial Hospital to open: Details for the public

HAMILTON, ON – The new West Lincoln Memorial Hospital (WLMH) will officially open on Monday, November 24. Inpatients will be transferred to the new hospital on Sunday, November 23, and visitors are kindly asked to not attend the hospital on this day.

The new emergency department will be open to the public as of 7 a.m. on Sunday November 23. There will be directional signage posted. 

Please be aware that parking at the hospital is limited. Off-site parking is available at 147 Main St. East (the former Cole’s Florist & Garden Centre).

Work to decommission the old hospital, install parking and complete landscaping will commence early in the new year.

On November 14, Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) celebrated the upcoming opening of the new WLMH alongside The Honorable Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario and other representatives from all levels of government. Please see our release for more details.
