Emergency Response Exercise at ‘old’ West Lincoln Memorial Hospital

HAMILTON, ON – Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) is coordinating, and will be taking part, in an emergency response exercise at the ‘old’ West Lincoln Memorial Hospital (WLMH) site on the morning of December 9, 2025.

HHS, Niagara Police Service, Niagara Paramedic Service, Hamilton Police Service, and Hamilton Paramedic Service will participate in a mock ‘active attacker’ exercise to practice the implementation of emergency response activities.

Exercises like this enable hospital staff and physicians, along with key partners, to practice, review and improve emergency and disaster plans, so that we are always ready to care for our community.

Throughout the morning, patients and visitors may notice increased activity and a heavier than normal presence of first responder vehicles at the hospital and its vicinity.

Due to the location and sensitive nature of the activities, media will not be permitted at the hospital during the exercise.
