healthy growth and development of
young children. This workshop will
help review how you can ensure your
family is getting the rest they need.
Helping you establish a good bedtime
routine, understanding sleep hygiene
and how to create healthy sleep habits
in your home. We will help identify
where your child’s sleep problems may
be occurring within the routine and
provide practical strategies to help.

Learn how to identify and understand
what your child is trying to
communicate to you thorough their
behaviour. Families will learn how to
identify the function of your child’s
negative behaviour and teach practical
strategies to help you and your child
prepare for, plan, and teach new skills
to increase positive behaviour.. You will
learn positive parenting strategies, to
help establishing boundaries, routines
and clear expectations to set both you
and your child up for success.

Creating Meaningful Social Routines With Your Toddler at Home

Learn the importance of shared smiling between you and your toddler, how social routines can increase interaction and promote communication and, get ideas and strategies to try out with your toddler. Workshop format provides opportunities to ask questions and receive resources.

This 8-session workshop is for moms, dads and caregivers of children up to 6 years of age. Participants will watch video clips, learn strategies to enhance the parent-child attachment relationship and improve child behaviour, and discuss these issues with the leaders and other participants. Course is in-person . Limited on-site childcare and transportation assistance available.

Dealing with constant fighting between your children at home? Understand why they don't get along, how you can build positive relationship between them and how to respond differently to their bickering.

Learn how to manage the emotional waves your children experience by using mindfulness based strategies to reduce the intensity of big emotions. Mindfulness techniques encourage children to learn how to be present with their emotions rather than overcome by them. This four session virtual course focuses on collaborative problem solving to help defuse behaviours and improve communication. Whether you are dealing with explosive behaviours or a child that shuts down it can make parenting more difficult. A 3 session educational series for parents and caregivers. Topics will explore: understanding your child's disruptive behaviours, reducing conflict, dealing with emotions, improving communication and problem solving.

This 6 session virtual Educational program is designed to reduce anxious behaviour's. We focus on targeting specific anxieties with weekly exposure steps/goal setting for their target anxiety. We will also focus on skill building, developing helpful thinking, managing emotions , body talk awareness(physical reactions), weekly practice with coping skills and relaxation.

In the program you and your child will work on specific worries and fears such as:

Getting through recess, math, etc. with confidence
Talking to friends/meeting new people
Joining in with friends
Doing a presentation in front of the class
Participating in a new activity or a current one (dance, sports, art class, scouts etc.)
Order their own drink or food item at the store/restaurant/coffee shop
Talk to adults
Try something new
Have a sleepover

This group is not appropriate for children under 8 years of age or children with trauma, abuse, OCD, divorce & separation or selective mutism related worries and fears.

Caregivers need to be engaged in the weekly practice to help transfer the skills learned in the group to have the best possible outcomes.

6 weekly VIRTUAL sessions

1st Session - Parent Only Orientation

5 Remaining sessions include parent & child attending together.
