Cafeterias limiting access, continuing to serve take-out

As of 8 a.m. on Friday March 20, seating areas in operating cafes will be open as private, staff-only dining areas. HHS workers may purchase take-out or bring their own food to these spaces. People using the seating areas must practice social distancing, avoid group gatherings and sit away from other people. Purchasing food to go is still available for patients and visitors.

The following changes to public food services and gift shops will be implemented effective March 19, 2020:

  • Take-out and packaged items only (at open locations)

Hamilton General Hospital:

  • Barton Bean Café – Open 24 hours, 7 days a week
  • Courtyard Café – Closed
  • Bean Express Café – Closed
  • Give Shop – Closed

Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre

  • Sunnyside Café – Closed

Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre:

  • Atrium Café – Open daily 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., packaged goods only (updated March 30)
  • Juravinski Give Shop – Closed
  • Hummingbird Café (JCC) – Closed
  • Nora’s Fresh Café – Temporarily closed (updated March 30)

McMaster Children’s Hospital:

  • Corner Café – Open 24 hours, 7 days a week
  • Baywest Café – Closed
  • McMaster Give Shop – Closed
  • GivingBlooms.ca – Closed

St. Peter’s Hospital:

  • Maplewood Café – Open Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.,
    Weekends 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
