New Chair, members appointed to Hamilton Health Sciences Board of Directors

Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) is welcoming a new board chair following the annual general meeting (AGM) of its board of directors on June 27, 2023.

The board acknowledged the contributions of outgoing chair David Lazzarato and welcomed Keith Monrose as the new chair.

HHS is sincerely grateful to David for his outstanding leadership and service as a board member and chair. His support and guidance were steadfast as we worked with partners and communities to transform patient care at HHS, and during very challenging periods of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Keith brings extensive board governance knowledge to the role of board chair. He has held leadership positions in the public and private sectors and is currently Executive Director International at Seneca Polytechnic. His professional experience spans health, education, and information technology, arising from leadership roles with McMaster University, Mohawk College, Telus, Canada Health Infoway and Merck.

Keith has served on the Board of the United Way of Halton and Hamilton, Literacy South Halton and is a community representative with Burlington Economic Development. He is an alumnus of the Rotman School of Management, and McMaster University’s Faculty of Health Sciences.

Other changes arising from the AGM include the appointment of Andrea McKinney as vice chair and the appointment of two new members, Amit Kapur and Rasha Kisswani.
