HHS patient Joahnna Lalic has been cancer free for 14 years, after being offered the opportunity to take part in a research trial that saved her life. Starting Feb. 24, all patients receiving care at HHS will automatically be enrolled in Explore Research, the hospital’s new patient recruitment process for research studies, unless they choose to opt out. As well as making the process equitable for those interested in participating in studies, Explore Research will also greatly increase the pool of eligible candidates.
