Juravinski Hospital, located on the brow of the Niagara escarpment, is best known as the host hospital for the Regional Cancer Program.
In addition to dedicated wards for cancer patients, Juravinski Hospital is also a general medical/surgical hospital with a community Emergency Department. Joint replacement surgery, e.g. hip or knee, commonly takes place at Juravinski Hospital.
The oldest part of Juravinski Hospital was opened in 1917 as Mount Hamilton Hospital.
How to Get Here
From the Niagara Region
- Take the QEW to the Centennial Parkway/Red Hill Valley Parkway exit.
- Follow the sign for the Red Hill Valley Parkway exit.
- The parkway becomes the Lincoln Alexander Parkway. Exit onto Upper Gage.
- Turn right on Upper Gage and follow until you reach Concession Street.
- Turn left onto Concession Street.
- The hospital is on the right side of the street, a few blocks up.
From Brantford
- Take Hwy 403 to the Lincoln Alexander Parkway (LINC) exit east and follow the LINC to Upper Wentworth Street.
- Exit the LINC and travel north on Upper Wentworth.
- At Concession Street turn right.
- Continue for 3 blocks.
- The hospital is on the left side of the street.
From Toronto
- Take QEW to Hwy 403.
- Take the Lincoln Alexander Parkway (LINC) exit east and follow the LINC to Upper Wentworth Street.
- Exit the LINC and travel north on Upper Wentworth.
- At Concession Street turn right. Continue for 3 blocks.
- The hospital is on the left side of the street.
Public Transit
Several Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) bus routes, including the 23 – Upper Gage and 24 – Upper Sherman stop directly outside JH.
