Interim Vice President, Adult Regional Care

Donna is a dedicated advocate for excellence and sustainability in healthcare. Over the course of her career at Hamilton Health Sciences, she has advanced through progressively senior leadership roles, successfully implementing operational and cultural transformations. Donna was accountable for reorganizing emergency services for children, which led to the opening of the region’s first dedicated pediatric emergency Department at McMaster Children’s Hospital (MCH). Additionally, she was instrumental in founding the Joyce Family Centre for Healthcare Innovation at McMaster Children’s Hospital, which continues to improve patient safety and care quality through evidence-based practices and international benchmarking.

Most recently, Donna has led HHS’s strategic and transformational initiatives from the CEO’s office.  In this capacity, she collaborates closely with HHS Board Directors and engages with internal and external stakeholders to ensure long-term organizational success.  Her innovative approaches and steadfast dedication to healthcare excellence have consistently driven positive change, benefiting patients and staff.  Donna holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Business Administration, and a Post-Graduate Certification in Public Policy.
