Patients are seen in an outpatient clinic setting. You do not stay overnight. Please bring a current list of your medications each time you come to the clinic. Referrals are to be directed to a surgeon’s office. Consult the CPSO website for contact details.
Preferred Accommodations
If you stay as an inpatient at Hamilton Health Sciences, you can request your preference out of 3 types of patient rooms:
- Ward (3 or more beds)
- Semi-private (2 beds)
- Private (1 bed)
Note: this does not cover restroom arrangements within or between patient rooms.

Please fill out this Preferred Accommodations – Authorization Request – Pre-Admission Form and email it to PreferredAccommodation@hhsc.ca.
Your HHS care team will make every effort to assign you to your preferred room accommodation, however bed assignment is based on patient needs as a priority and then by requested room and are subject to change based on the needs of the unit. We also cannot guarantee the gender of other patients assigned to your room if in a semi-private accommodation.
